At Risk Youths Receive Mentoring
Minor and Associates, Inc. d/b/a PRYDE Mentoring Academy (PMA), a 501c3 non-profit organization is located at 17325 Euclid Ave. Suite #4006, Cleveland OH 44112. Our goals are to assist the surrounding school districts and juvenile justice system with at-risk youth from the ages of 12 to 24 years of age offering mentoring and programs during and after school. Our Program officially launched in August 2019.
Every day, mentoring programs make a critical impact on young people throughout our nation by providing them with the support and guidance they need to navigate academic and personal challenges. Unfortunately, one in three young people will grow up without a mentor of any kind. This is the mentoring gap in America.
Traditionally at-risk youths were identified living in some of the most violent and economically deprived neighborhoods in Cleveland, where guns and drugs were omnipresent and unstable upbringings were common. During those years, these youths have been predominantly male (96 percent) and, reflecting the demographics of the communities where they live, African American (54 percent) or Hispanic (37 percent).
For the last few years, this epidemic has spread to Greater Cleveland and surrounding suburbs where there has been a steady increasing mark in violent and drug-related offenses. Though many has been incarcerated, the youths who do not have arrests for violent or drug-related crimes or on probation for less serious offenses may live or are exposed to individuals perpetrating crimes of theft, drug sales and violence.

September 30, 2019 we launched our first Environmental Lead Safe Training Program. The disciplines are Lead Abatement Worker, RRP (Rehab, Repair & Paint) & Clearance Technician. Upon completion & state testing the participants, will become employees of PremTech Environmental and will work on homes that we are contracted for along with homes from the Cleveland & County Land Bank partnership. Our training facility at 17325 Euclid Ave, Suite 1020, Cleveland, OH 44112 is a “Flagship Training Facility and first & unique to the principles of training for a Lead Safe structure along with basic construction skills.
We have also partnered with the Greater Collinwood CDC, and will use homes through the CDC as training homes.
PremTech is EPA & State Certified, and we are extending our working knowledge along with our partner company MCW construction to make a huge impact on eradicating the safety conditions from the older housing stock in our targeted areas of, Glenville, East Cleveland, Mt. Pleasant & Cleveland as a whole.

empowerment, motivation and life goals.
