Another Awesome Year at St. Jerome School

St. Jerome Catholic School students finished the academic year on June 5th, and what an awesome year it was!  The students participated in a wide variety of learning adventures.  This year our scholars were introduced to the Common Core Standards of instruction to prepare them for future success.  Students took the PARCC test for the first time to assess academic progress.  A technology consultant taught students to expand their computer knowledge and demonstrated a drone in flight.  Teachers and students took learning out of the classroom for hands-on fun.  Each student took at least two field trips this year.  Some of the places they visited were Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and Great Lakes Science Center. Students also took a two-mile hike in the North Chagrin Reservation and toured the Holden Arboretum with a naturalist. The junior high classes attended a trip to Columbus, and the entire school enjoyed a cruise on the Goodtime III.  A generous donor helped with bus transportation and admission.

On June 2, St. Jerome School eighth grade commencement brought laughter and tears.  The St. Jerome Parish community is proud of their accomplishments as they move on to outstanding high schools including Villa Angela-St. Joseph, Benedictine, St. Martin de Porres, Ginn Academy, Lake Catholic and Cleveland School of the Arts.
