Celebrate the Polka Mass and your Collinwood roots at SNPJ Farm in Kirtland, Ohio, Sunday, June 22, 2014. Father George Balasko, the creator of the Polka Mass, comes to SNPJ Farm with the Wayne Tomsic Orchestra. After the Mass a Collinwood Reunion takes place with dining and dancing.

Did you grow up in Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood? Were you a graduate of Villa Angela, St. Joe’s or Collinwood High School? Did you enjoy Euclid Beach Park? Join your friends for a day of Collinwood memories, the Polka Mass, good food and music. Share your photos and stories, and catch up with classmates and neighbors.

The Polka Mass enhances the spiritual experience with familiar Slovenian and nationality polka and waltz melodies. It's a unique expression of faith, first created by Father Balasko in 1972. Sing-along sheets are available.

The Polka Mass begins promptly at 1:00 p.m., with dining from 2:00 on. A full menu of dinners and sandwiches await you. Choose from Slovenian smoked sausage, savory roast beef, or fried bologna sandwiches by Chef Dean. Fresh donuts will add sweetness to your special day.

Enjoy Cleveland-style music for dancing with the Wayne Tomsic Orchestra from 3:00 to 7:00. Wayne’s lively polkas and smooth waltzes will take you back to the days of Frankie Yankovic’s Collinwood supper club. Your hosts are the members and friends of Charter SNPJ Lodge 5, Naprej, many of them Collinwood residents past and present, are your hosts.
