Collinwood Rising: Part II

This past week, with the support of the ArtPlace grant, Northeast Shores and Saving Cities released the second in a series of videos depicting the revitalization efforts happening throughout the neighborhood. This second video focuses on the Artist-in-Residence program, and recipients of the first grant round of that initiative. It tells the inspiring short stories of Omid Tavakoli and Krista Tomorrowitz, two local artists who are making tangible changes in the Waterloo district through their innovative art interventions. The video also introduces the Artist-in-Residence and Collinwood Rising program manager, Seth Beattie, along with Program Assistant - and native Collinwood resident - Tonya Broach.

This second video concludes with Brooklyn-based entrepreneur and Art Home founder, Esther Robinson. Esther has been working in conjunction with the Artist-in-Residence and Collinwood Rising initiatives, and shares a very unique and flattering outside perspective of our city and our neighborhood. You can watch the video by visiting the Northeast Shores YouTube Channel online at www.youtube.com/neshores.
