Hunger Center Back In Operation

The CCC3 Hunger Center on Lakeshore in the Collinwood Community has been slated to re-open July 13.

The process will be completely different with registered local residents not being allowed inside the building. Rather, they will line up outside while maintaining social distancing, come by the main entrance, verify residency and then collect their food. All food items will be prepacked into bags at least 24hours in advance to minimize contamination.

“We are taking the appropriate measures to ensure as safe a distribution as possible, even limiting the number of volunteers inside the facility at any one time. We understand the importance of this ministry. Families remain in need and we want to be able to get back to helping them,” said Pastor Walther Marcis of St. John Nottingham. “Our shelves are fully stocked, and we are ready to once again serve our neighbors.”
