E 185th Neighborhood Association Meeting: Latest on the E 185th Sewer Project

November's topic of interest was the ongoing construction happening along E 185th St - & on surrounding streets.

After hearing from our Fifth District Community Engagement Officers (a brief visit, as they had another meeting to go to), Councilman Polensek filled us in on upcoming issues & events, such as the upcoming Cleveland Municipal School District's decision, as to whether of not close Collinwood & Glenville High Schools. (Afterwe sang him "Happy Birthday" of course!)

Lauren Calevich also stopped by, to update us on the LaSalle. As did newly elected Housing Judge W Mona Scott, thanking everyone for their support in the recent election.

We then had the Division of Water Pollution Control, talk about all this construction happening on E 185th, and the traffic plans around this.

Don't have the space here, to go into all the details of the work - do check out their website at http://www.clevelandwpc.com tho, & scroll down to "East 185th Street & Marcella Road Sewer Project" or check their Facebook page at "City of Cleveland Water Pollution Control". The traffic issue was of most concern & most discussed. Basically, yes there will be closures & restrictions along E 185th, during this project. Simply put: you will be able to go North on E 185th. Going South tho, you will find detours & restrictions. Look for & follow the posted detour signs.

As always, we invite you to check out your local Neighborhood Association - the meetings are always listed in the Community Meetingscalendar here in the Collinwood Observer. This is your regular chance, to talk to both the Councilman, & our local Police District - & it's a great way to be active in this community of ours.

Look forward to seeing you! (And bring a neighbor!)

See you next month!
