Cavotta's Tomato Festival a Tasty Triumph

Over 350 guests were treated to a perfect summer day and scrumptious food at Cavotta's Tomato Festival. World-class chefs from local restaurants used Angela's heirloom tomatoes to create tasty treats. A distinguished panel of judges led by Frank Longo owner of the famous Allegro club and Chip Kullik from M-105 gave the award for best dish to Osteria restaurant, owned by local Collinwood legend Al Cefaratti. His dish of a pefectly al-dente pasta salad, with green beans, tomatoes, soft italian cheese, and a special sauce was heavenly.

The addition of a full liquor license to Cavotta's Garden Center greatly added to the event as quality cocktails, ice cold beer, and reasonably priced bottles of wine were available. The Blues Deville band entertained throughout the afternoon with their perfect blend of popular music.

We are blessed to have this uban farm and party venue located right in our neighborhood at 19603 Nottingham road. The Garden Center is open Tuesday- Thursday 10-6, Friday 10-7 Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-5. Stop in for some locally grown produce and eggs so fresh you can meet the chickens.

Thank you Angela Cavotta for your commitment to our neighborhood and all your hard work on The Cleveland Tomato Festival!
