Happy Birthday St. Jerome

The Most Reverend Neslon Perez greets St. Jerome Princial, Susan Coan after Mass celebrating St. Jerome Parish's 100th year.

Alumni, friends and former parishioners filled St. Jerome Church to overflowing July 21st to celebrate 100 years of faith and community.  The Most Reverend Nelson Perez presided at Mass.  Each of our six pastors were represented in some way.  Fr. Bill, Fr. Haren, and Fr. Walsh concelebrated the Mass.  Our founder, Monsignor Leo Hammer’s vestments were displayed in the back of the church, Fr. Koehl’s chalice was used, and Fr. Cassese’s rosary was on the altar in the flowers.  Representatives from the various parish organizations, the school and alumni were active participants.

After Mass 450 people gathered at the Irish American Club East Side for a wonderful luncheon and fellowship.  Alumni Brian Travalik presented a video he created for this celebration, it is currently available on Facebook along with a wealth of pictures that have been shared at our St. Jerome Church, St. Jerome Centennial, and St. Jerome Alumni pages.
