Cleveland Clinic Names New President Of Euclid Hospital
Teresa E. Dews, MD, named president of Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital
Cleveland Clinic announced the promotion of Teresa E. Dews, M.D., as president of Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital, beginning July 15.
Euclid Hospital is a 371-bed hospital offering a complete continuum of care including one of the region's leading outpatient rehabilitation and orthopaedic centers. Other specialties include emergency services, neuro-rehabilitation, cardiology, geriatric assessment and additional inpatient and outpatient care.

Before being named president of Euclid Hospital, Dr. Dews held several leadership positions including Chief Medical Officer at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital and vice chair of Cleveland Clinic’s Pain Management Department. She previously served as director of Cleveland Clinic’s Outpatient Pain Management Center and as Quality Review Officer for the Department of Pain Management in the Anesthesiology Institute. Additionally, Dr. Dews has been involved in medical student and physician education and is a clinical associate professor of anesthesiology in the CWRU Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. She has been recognized as one of Northern Ohio Live's “Top Doctors,” selected as a member of Kaleidoscope magazine's “Forty Club” and inducted into Cleveland Heights High School's Alumni Hall of Fame.
Dr. Dews is active in professional organizations including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, American Society of Regional Anesthesia, the World Institute of Pain and the Ohio Society of Anesthesiologists. She has published on several topics including medication management for chronic pain.
Dr. Dews is a graduate of the University of Toledo and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in anesthesiology and a pain management fellowship at Cleveland Clinic before joining the staff in 1993.
Dr. Dews and her husband currently reside in Bratenahl.
She succeeds Dan Napierkowski, M.D., who served as president of Euclid Hospital since May 2015. Dr. Napierkowski is also president of Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital and will continue in that role.
