Celebrating our Nation and our Neighborhood!

Bruna looked lovely in her 4th of July parade costume.

Thanks to the glorious weather, wonderful neighbors both past and present, and the best volunteer crew out there, the 2017 Shore Acres 4th of July celebration was a huge success.  The parade stretched for almost a full block!  The 400 picnic-goers were entertained by wonderful live music and enjoyed traditional favorites off the grill along with watermelon and amazing desserts contributed by neighbors and friends.  There was face painting, a magician came and fascinated everyone with his skill.  We had an opportunity to take part in painting a rain-barrel dedicated to long time Shore Acres residents, the Biondo family.  As a special treat we were delighted to host the cast and crew of "An Americam in Paris" who had a great day.  One of the cast members commented that "We never get to do anything like this in New York!"
