Donate a Dollar and a Dish to the Collinwood Community Potluck

Join us at the Collinwood Community Potluck for food, fun and great neighbors in an awesome neighborhood. We are raising funds to put on the event through Ioby.org. Please consider a donation and save-the-date for the Potluck on Saturday, July 8th.

What better way is there to spend a Saturday in July than sharing a good plate of food next to new and old neighbors with a view of the Lake?!

Mark your calendars and start brainstorming your best summer recipes for the first Collinwood Community Potluck. On Saturday, July 8th from 4-8pm at the Euclid Beach Park pavilion, people from across the neighborhood will come together to celebrate community over homemade and restaurant dishes, playing lawn games and swaying to the beat of local musicians.

Over the past few months, a group of Collinwood residents - with the support of Northeast Shores Development Corporation - have been planning this event based on the popular city-wide Potluck in the Park (perhaps you’ve been to the previous years’ events at Edgewater or League Park?).

The concept is simple – every attendee is asked to bring a dish to share as we dine elbow to elbow at long, communal tables (appetizer, salad, entrée, dessert, it’s all good!). Can’t bring a dish? Bring us some veggies from your home or community garden. If that’s still too much to ask, no worries, bring yourself and be prepared to feast – no one will be turned away.

While the event is absolutely FREE to attend, it does cost money to put on. We are raising funds through IOBY, a local crowdsourcing organization that in partnership with Neighborhood Connections will match every dollar donated with a 1:1 match. We need to raise $1,000 to make the event a success and every dollar counts – twice! Please find our campaign on IOBY at https://www.ioby.org/

This will be a sustainable, Zero Waste event with the help of Rust Belt Riders. The Potluck will complement two other Collinwood events on Saturday, July 8— the VASJ Escape to the Lake 5k Run/Walk and GardenWalk Cleveland.

Come join us for the Potluck anytime between 4pm and 8pm, and if you are bringing a dish – the earlier the better. We will have cards on hand for you to write the name of your dish and ingredients list (ie, is it vegan? gluten-free?). Show off your best work - you never know if there will be a pie contest!
