The 12th Annual Waterloo Arts Fest is on June 28th

Our long awaited summer is finally here and when that sun starts shining, it means the biggest summer arts bash in Collinwood is not far off. The 12th Annual Waterloo Arts Fest is on June 28th from noon until 7pm, so mark your calendars for the biggest, best Fest yet. The Waterloo Arts Fest planning team is excited to announce the expansion of the festival site across E 156th and west down Waterloo to Calcutta. This development was made possible by a record number of applications received from art and food vendors, bands, DJs, and community organizations all interested in being part of the festival in 2014.

There will be 60+ of Cleveland’s hippest art vendors, the addition of three new stages – for a total of 9! – featuring a huge variety of music from rap to indie rock, polka to Dixieland, Americana to blues, food trucks serving delectable nosh, art activities galore, gallery exhibits showing the work of some of Cleveland’s best artists, a dedicated Kids Area, and amazing performance artists strolling throughout it all. The Arts Alive program started last year will be back with a chance for you to try your hand at throwing a ceramic pot, create some fiber art, make a sun print, paint with bubbles, watch a blacksmith at work, and many more hands-on activities for kids and adults.

The Waterloo Arts Fest is a chance celebrate with your neighbors, the great community we live in, and proudly show off one of Cleveland’s most exciting up and coming neighborhoods to all the visitors here for that day. You can stop in and say, hi, to the tried and true Waterloo merchants or meet the new neighbors opening shop soon, like Jessica Pinsky from Praxis Fiber Arts or Valerie Grossman from Brick Ceramics Studio or Liz Maugins from Zygote Press or Loren Naji from Satellite Gallery and sample goodies from Kimberly Homan’s soon to be Bright Coffee Bar.
