The Easter Bunny Came to Town

The Easter Bunny hopped his way down to VASJ last month to have breakfast and pose for pictures with the children from around the neighborhood. The children and their families enjoyed a breakfast of eggs, french toast and sausage provided by Gus’s diner and there was plenty of lettuce and carrots for the bunny to munch on. The VASJ students were on hand once again, and provided fun activities for the children, and then we all headed outside for the traditional Easter Egg Hunt. The children waited to hear the word “Go” and then they scurried across the grass to gather over four hundred eggs that were scattered about.  Once back inside the children cracked open their eggs to find the treats inside. After everyone got the chance to sit on the Easter Bunny’s lap for a picture, he said it was time for him to leave and we all waved good-bye as he left to prepare for his many Easter visits. Thanks go out to Gus’s Diner for donating the food, Laura Robinson , Charlotte Iafeliece, Caroline Peak, and Jill Latkovitch and her army of students from VASJ for making this a most enjoyable event!
