Get to know O.H. Perry

Our Mission: To provide the highest quality education for students from a high-need, urban area, compels us to strive for academic excellence for each student through the delivery of a 21st century educational model. All costs for education are received from local tax funds that have been allocated to support our high quality school.

Curriculum and Testing:

At O.H. Perry our instructional model includes a strong curriculum, hybrid learning management system (HLMS), Guided Reading, a blended learning model, Spring Board and all licensed, high-quality teachers in each classroom through the Pre-K, primary levels and middle school levels.

• Daily evaluation gives teachers real-time knowledge of which concepts each student is grasping, to guide supplementary educational efforts.

• Allows for the most important instructional activities to be done in small, teacher led groups.

While O.H. Perry students are assessed daily, we also utilize State of Ohio standardized tests to measure reading and math proficiency. The results of these tests allow us to compare the academic levels of our students with students locally and statewide.

We offer extra curricular activities such as: Boys and Girls Basketball, We Run The City Track Program, Drum Corp, Cheerleading, Young Scholars, Student Council and Learning Through the Arts Program We offer an intensive K-8 Gifted and Talented program and help to support students with special needs an through intensive Special Education program.

O. H. Perry is the only area Cleveland K-8 school to receive the Effective rating on the ODE report card, also boasting some of the highest 3rd grade and science scores in the district.
