Thank you

On Saturday April 27, 2013, students from John Carroll University visited North Shore Collinwood ready to work. It was a beautiful day for sprucing up the LaSalle Theater block of East 185th St. After a quick tour of the LaSalle Theater these students pushed up their sleeves and prepared to get dirty at the theater and the surrounding block. Doors and boarded windows were painted, weeds were pulled and mulch was spread.

It’s amazing what a transformation 20+ volunteers can make in 4 hours. The students were excited to be making a difference to such an old, historic building. Katie Spring from John Carroll and John Boksansky from Northeast Shores helped coordinate the efforts of these students. I would also like to thank Lou from Gus’s Diner for passing out orange juice to the students as they were cleaning up the flower beds. Thanks again, to the student volunteers from John Carroll.
