Getting Ready to Buy: NHS of Greater Cleveland Offers New Online Homebuyer Course
Neighborhood Housing Services of Greater Cleveland, a local non-profit housing counseling agency that provides homebuyer education, down-payment-assistance, home repair lending and foreclosure prevention, announces it has recently partnered with eHome America, the nation’s premier online home ownership education program offering access to quality, accessible information and education for first-time home buyers.
“We are excited to be able to offer this dynamic educational tool to throughout Northeast Ohio. Now quality home buying education can be found anytime on the Internet,” said Executive Director Lou Tisler. “Though this online course cannot replace in-person homebuyer counseling, eHome America will allow our Homebuyer Education students to study at their own pace, and at a time and place that are convenient to them.”
eHome America is an easy-to-use platform that covers the core-content areas of homebuyer education including budgeting, credit, savings plans and other key concepts of the purchasing process. Participants will also find user-friendly animated videos, content-related quizzes, and a printed certificate upon successful completion of the course work.
As an added bonus, any homeowner completing the online course and purchasing a home within 6 months, will have all fees associated with this online course rebated upon submission of a final HUD-1 settlement statement. As a further bonus, any homeowner purchasing a home after the first 6 months but before a year has concluded from the completion of the course, will have 50% of all fees associated with this online course rebated upon submission of a final HUD-1 settlement statement.
