An Irish lad and lassie, Joe and Cookie Morgan
Joe and Cookie Morgan are as Irish a couple as you get here in Collinwood! Both were born and raised here, Joe Morgan was born in 1943, and raised on E 146 and Idarose, both parents directly from Ireland. He attended St. Joe grade school and St. Joes High School, class of '61. Cookie was born Cookie Pankuch, she grew up on E.146 and St. Clair, attended E. Clark and Collinwood High School, class of '71.
After a brief period of time in Lake County, Joe and Cookie came back to their neighborhood to reinvest. They live near what Joe fondly calls "Morgan's Corner"-- E. 183rd and Lakeshore.
Joe is retired from the Pipefitters Local Union 120, and in his spare time is a Democratic precinct committee man. For the last 12 years, Cookie has worked for the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Dept.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Living.
What is your greatest achievement?
That is yet to come.
What quality do you most like in a person?
Honest, Loyalty and Friendship.
What do you value most in friends?
Their friendship.
What is your most treasured possession?
My Wife! (Joe answered this very quickly) I am going to leave it at that!
What is your greatest extravagance?
Going to Ireland!
Who are your real life heroes?
James Connolly and Michael Collins, both gave their lives for Ireland.
What makes you unique?
Cookie:He's the original "Skinny little boy from Cleveland, Ohio." When they made him, they broke the mold! The one, the only, Joey Morgan! Enough said!
If you could change one thing, what would it be?
Peace on Earth.

The Irish flag will be flying in Morgan's Corner this St. Patrick's Day, as it should be. Did you know that orange represents the North, white represents the Republic and green, Ireland, but together, they fly as one in Peace?
