Christmas in the Villages
How do you celebrate the holidays? Regardless of one's faith or ethnic background, we all gather to celebrate during these early winter days. We celebrate the season beginning with St Nicholas' Day on December 6th (Sveti Miklaus) and continue with Chanukkah and Winter Solstice through Christmas and then the New Year until January 6th, traditionally known as Epiphany or Twelfth Night. While some honor the season with decorating their homes and trees with lights and bright shiny mementos of our past, others feast with their families to light the Menorah or recount Christmas joys of the past.
We in Collinwood and Nottingham village areas are no different. We are a diverse community and take great pride in this. This also means we celebrate during this holiday season in a diverse way. We at the Collinwood Nottigham Historical Society would like to know just how you celebrate. Share your stories and your pictures with us. Just email us at CollNottHistory.com and we will document your stories.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL from the Officers and Board of the Collinwood Nottingham Historical Society!!
