Daily Question

Question for Friday, December 18th, 2009:

What new business would you like to see in the Lasalle Theatre building ?

-
It could be many things...a bookstore, a farmers market, an extension of Tri-C where off site classes could be offered, an art gallery, a community computer center or employment center with local job postings, an information center about green solutions and how to start a local garden...etc.

But last of all, it could still be a theatre. Perhaps showing classic films, or documentaries.

I remember going to the Lasalle Theatre as a child with my family. We always had a nice time. (I also remember the Commodore Theatre.) Those theatres bring back nice memories!
-
With Waterloo taking off like it is, we could sure use an independent movie theatre, or some type of community theatre project. Make do with what you've got!
-
A brew and view would make the most sense.
-
A large, family-style restaurant, offering Croation, Lithuanian and Slovenian cusisine.
-
I'd like to see a theme bar/restaurant. A brew and view where films are decor unless it's a specific viewing night. I also think Cleveland needs a (hard) cider mill to compliment all the great craft beer and wine making that has taken root here. Something like Spyglass Cider in the Fingerlakes, NY. Ohio is apple country, after all. The space would be perfect for it.
-
I think it would serve best as an integrated arts theatre. Music, drama, and film. I would like to see the space transform into something unique!
