The Faces of Fair Housing: A World Café on Housing Discrimination
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
In conjunction with the CH-UH Library and One Community Reads, centered on the Pulitzer Prize-winning Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City by Dr. Matthew Desmond, join Heights Community Congress for this interactive World Café program as we explore this topic in our own community. Is housing discrimination a systemic part of the American economy and American culture?

In a world café setting participants will explore ideas around two questions centered on the human effect of housing discrimination on members of our community, followed by a full-group facilitated discussion. Share your story, and hear your neighbors’ stories, of the far-reaching consequences of a “separate and unequal” housing market.

Dr. Megan Hatch, Assistant Professor of Urban Policy and City Management at Cleveland State University, will lead this small group activity and discussion.

Come early at 6:30 pm to meet and greet HCC's new Executive Director, Rev. Eric Dillenbeck. Refreshments will be provided.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
