LET US NOT FORGET: Panel Discussion on Fair Housing
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Join Heights Community Congress and our co-sponsors, Heights Libraries and the SEL Experience Project, in a moderated panel discussion to examine the impact of the Fair Housing Act on the lives of real people. Our panelists will share their personal stories of the real effects of housing discrimination today, followed by a moderated Q & A/Discussion session. We'll wrap up with a celebration of HCC's accomplishments taking on Zillow, Trulia, and Educational Redlining.

Our panelists will be:

* Barbara Anderson, Executive Director of Another Chance of Ohio, will talk about her personal experience with fair housing and the efforts to "keep me out of my house!"

* Michael R. Lisman, Consumer Educator and Financial Empowerment Coach, will speak about the economic (psyche-& socio) impact of "defacto segregation in a modern democracy

* Henry Stoudermire, Realtor, will talk about the experiences of homebuyers trying to get home purchase financing and the difficulty of obtaining it.

* Sally Martin from the SEL Experience Project, will introduce the panel.
