Educational Redlining: Affecting Our Communities
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Join HCC and the South Euclid Lyndhurst Experience Project in a presentation and solutions-oriented discussion of educational redlining. Home sales websites use this technique to steer homebuyers away from moderate-income communities by rating their school districts poorly, based on faulty metrics.

Friday, April 29, 2016
7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Lee Road Library
2345 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118

The evening begins with remarks from CH-UH Superintendent Talisa Dixon, South Euclid Housing Manager Sally Martin, and HCC Fair Housing Director Ruby Appling.

Small group discussions will follow, exploring ways to combat the ratings and shining a light on the assets of these communities. Talk-Back discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Tameka Taylor of Compass Consulting Services.

This event is FREE and open to the public.
*** Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are appreciated to help us plan more carefully.
