Remembering the Sights & Sounds of Euclid Beach Park.

Euclid Beach Park Now, The Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Euclid Beach Boys present the Sixth Annual Remembering the Sights & Sounds of Euclid Beach Park. The event will be held on Sunday September 26th, rain or shine, from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., rain or shine at Euclid Beach State Park.
Free admission, handicapped accessible and a day outside in early Fall in one of Cleveland's best kept secrets, Euclid Beach State Park. The event last year attracted more than 2,700 people who came out to relax, enjoy, remember and reminisce about Cleveland's most beloved amusement park, Euclid Beach Park. Guided tours of the park stopping at some of the locations where rides and attractions were located. Ride cars and park memorabilia will be on display, including a Dodgem and Flying Turns car, Laughing SalŪ and the City of Mayfield Heights will again bring out the Kiddie Hook & Ladder. Rides on the Thriller CarŪ and Rocket Ship CarŪ will be available at a nominal fee. Special this year will be the restored Artisan Band Organ that played for so many years at the base of the Rocket Ship's. Food will be available for purchase, hot dogs, chips and soda pop, plus you can obtain Humphrey Popcorn Calls and Candy Kisses. Weber's Premium Custard and Ice Cream will be selling frozen whip.
2010 marks the 100th Anniversary of Euclid Beach Park Carousel, the 19th merry-go-round made by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. There will be a carousel display along with information on the collaborative effort between the Western Reserve Historical Society and Cleveland's Euclid Beach Park Carousel Society to establish the historic Euclid Beach Park Carousel with the walls of the University Circle institution where it will be available to the public to view, ride and enjoy as soon as 2013.
2010 will also be the 4th consecutive year for the car show in conjunction with the event, "The Cars We Drove to Euclid Beach".
